Pure Wash is a small-batch bath, body and skincare maker based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We make handcrafted soap bars, lotions, body butters, bath products, face care and gift sets — all produced in our own studio, in batches small enough that we know what went into every one.

We supply independent boutiques, gift shops, spas, salons, wellness retailers, apothecaries and curated retail spaces across Canada and the United States. If your customers ask where a product was made and what is in it, we can answer both questions in writing.

Refillable and low-waste wholesale

We run a zero-waste refill station in our Winnipeg shop. Customers bring their own containers and refill shampoo, conditioner, castile soap, body lotion, sugar scrub, hand soap and household cleaners by weight. It has been part of how we trade for years, not a line we added for a label.

For retailers that matters in two ways:

  • Plastic-free lines you can stock as they come. Bar soap, shampoo bars, conditioner bars, lotion bars and laundry sheets arrive with no bottle to justify to a customer.
  • Bulk for your own refill bar. If you run a refill programme, or want to start one, tell us the products and volumes you need and we will quote bulk. You get the repeat visit rather than a one-off sale, and your customer gets a reason to come back with an empty bottle.

Wholesale to retailers in the United States

We ship cross-border and are taking on US stockists. A few things worth knowing before you order:

  • Our wholesale pricing is quoted in Canadian dollars for every account, including US ones. Your bank converts at the rate on the day, which at recent rates has worked in favour of buyers paying in US dollars.
  • The $100 opening minimum is the same for US accounts as for Canadian ones.
  • Every product carries a full INCI listing and net weight, so your labelling and customer questions are covered.
  • Shipping is quoted on your order size and destination. Ask and we will price a sample opening order before you commit.
  • If you already buy on Faire, you can order Pure Wash there and use your existing Faire terms and shipping.
  • Handmade in Canada is a point of difference on a US shelf, not a complication — say so on the shelf talker and it sells.

Wholesale questions

What is your minimum order for wholesale?

$100, on your opening order and on every reorder, in Canadian dollars. There is no separate, higher first order, and no annual commitment. At wholesale pricing $100 is roughly a case of soap plus a few lotions, so a shop can try the line on one shelf before deciding whether to build a section.

What is a realistic opening order for a shop stocking handmade soap for the first time?

Most first orders with us land between $100 and $300. A spread that works on a small shelf is four or five soap scents, one lotion or body butter, lip balm and one face oil — enough that a customer can find something at $8 and something at $30 without the shelf looking thin. We will build that mix with you when you ask for a line sheet, and we would rather you started small and reordered than over-bought once.

Which Pure Wash products sell best for independent retailers?

Soap bars move fastest. Within them the men's scents — Canadian Lumberjack, Bay Rum and Tobacco Leaf — and the problem-solver bars such as Neem Oil are the steadiest repeaters. Away from soap, the Pawsies lotion bar, lip balm, beard growth oil and the facial oils are the ones stockists come back for. Small sizes and gift sets carry the last quarter of the year.

Are you a good fit for a gift or lifestyle boutique?

Yes — that is the most common kind of Pure Wash stockist. The range is built to be given: soap bars from $8, soap trios and thank-you boxes around $28, wooden gift boxes and tote bundles around $50, and beard kits at $75, all packaged and labelled to go straight onto a shelf without extra wrapping. Seasonal sets come through in autumn for the Christmas trade.

What are the shipping and lead times for wholesale orders within Canada?

Most orders ship within one to three business days from our Winnipeg studio. We are a domestic supplier, so Canadian retailers have no import duty, no customs brokerage and no border delay to plan around — orders move on ordinary domestic ground transit times. Shipping is quoted on your order size and destination.

Why buy from a Canadian supplier rather than importing?

For a Canadian shop the practical differences are duty, brokerage and time. Buying domestically removes all three, and a short lead time means you can reorder a scent that sold out rather than waiting on a container. There is also the shelf argument: made in Manitoba is something your customer can be told, and it is increasingly what they are asking for.

Do you supply eco-friendly, low-waste or refillable products?

Yes. Bar soap, shampoo bars and conditioner bars are plastic-free as they come. We also run a zero-waste refill station in our Winnipeg shop, where customers refill shampoo, conditioner, castile soap, body lotion, sugar scrub and household cleaners by weight into their own containers. If you run a refill programme of your own, tell us what you need and we will quote bulk.

Where are Pure Wash products made?

In our own studio at 2082 Ness Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Nothing is white-labelled or bought in, and you can visit and watch it being made.

Do you ship wholesale orders to the United States?

Yes. We ship cross-border to US retailers on the same $100 minimum, quoted in Canadian dollars. US buyers can also order through Faire using their existing Faire terms and shipping.
