A compact outdoor kit assembled by forestmama for people who spend time in wooded areas. It gathers the practical tools in one place so you are not hunting for tweezers when you need them.
What's inside
Lint roller, tweezers, sterile cotton balls and swabs, alcohol swabs, bandages, bentonite clay, a resealable bag for storing a removed tick, a 2 oz botanical spray, a 2 oz astragalus root tincture and a 1 oz andrographis tincture.
Before heading out
Mist the botanical spray over clothing and exposed skin. For children five and under, spray clothing only. On the way home, run the lint roller over clothing before getting into the car or the house.
If you find a tick
Remove it carefully with the tweezers, place it in the resealable bag if you want it identified later, and clean the area with an alcohol swab.
This is a preparedness kit, not a medical device or treatment. Tick bites can carry serious risk. Contact a healthcare provider or your local public health service after any tick bite, and seek medical attention promptly if you develop fever, rash, fatigue or any other symptoms. The herbal preparations included are traditional preparations, are not licensed natural health products, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
